Finally, exams are oficially OVER....until June and next December and next June and the December after that and the June after that and you know....all of university. Anyways, the point is that for now, the pressures off, as far as school goes. Now, I have to get all my Christmas shopping done by Monday...I really do not have the foggiest idea what to get anyone. Well, I'm getting some cash tomorrow, so I'll put it in my bank account and go all over town armed with my debit card. The good new is that I don't have to buy for a shitload of people this time around. I have to get a couple presents for Mum, Dad and one for Mary Jo. I'm going to see my relatives after boxing day, so I'll probably end up waiting for sales. I'm really hoping for some gift certificates. I know people think that they may be tacky and impersonal, but I LOVE them. They bring the joy of shopping and knowing that you can actually BUY stuff. I love that. I really want some songbooks for musical theatre. I think I'm getting a cell phone from my Mum, I hope so. I'm getting tired of always checking for quarters and payphones and having to use friends cell phones. It makes me feel like such a mooch. Anyways, I like the Christmas season in general, but not all the stress that comes along with it.
I feel really relieved now that exams are over. I had this giant knot in my stomach and constant migranes the entire time exams were going on. I never got any sleep, not that that was anything really new, but I got even less sleep as a result of the combination of nonstop studying and exsessive stress levels. My first exam was supposed to be English. Most of it was going to be on Lord of the Flies, I studied by ass off. I even made Bernice wait in Indigo while I finished reading LotF. I got to school last Monday and I'm outside the Cafeteria waiting for the exam to start and all of the sudden Mr. Sketchley (the prinicipal) comes on the P.A. system and says "The grade 10 english exam has been canceled because we have been informed that the exam has been leaked. The exam will be rewritten and given after the Holidays." I was so pissed!!! The teachers were so angry and now they're going to make the exam infinately harder. The only up side I can see is that it will give me time to re-read LotF and understand it better. I know who leaked the exam and I'm really pissed.
