I used to be able to speak French, what the hell happened? I remember back in elementary/middle school when all you really had to do was follow some basic rules and spit out this repetetive "conversational" (I put it in quotes because the percentage of conversations I have that include my name, how I'm doing and where I live are MAYBE 10%, if that...real useful) French and BAM! 95%!! Now, they not only want to to speak in proper sentences with flawless grammar, but you have to actually have something to say. Well, I never!

Look, when it comes to bullshitting my way through pseudo-intellectual class discussions, I can shovel a load with the best of them - in ENGLISH.

The thing is, over the years I have built up a vocabulary of prime BS words and phrases. The only problem is, the understanding of those same words and phrases in English is minimal. In French, not only do I not know the exact words, but the idioms of bullshit that I hold so dear make litte to no sense, rendering them useless. So, there I am left without my trusty sheild of bullshit and having to come up with genuine opinions without relying on a highly developed vocabulary.

Merde.
