Last night I connected my iPod to my other computer to add a couple new songs, but I ran into more than a few problems. long story short, a series of events (resulting partly from my lack of logical thought and partly from the stupidity of apple) led to all 760-something songs on my ipod being erased. Needless to say I was inconsoleable. My iMac burned out a few months ago (hey I had it for 9 years) so I didn't have any of the songs from my ipod with me, nor could I get them back. So, now I am in the process of making a list of the songs on my iPod. That rectangular metal device was my life. I go a little crazy when I'm without it for a week. Oh man, I am just hoping that the songs from my mac will be on the hard drive that I am getting back from the computer place.....probably won't be though. Oh man, well at the very least I can console myself with the fact that I now own the complete soundtrack of "Jesus Christ Superstar". If you have never heard the songs you have to. You don't even have to have seen the movie (although you really should cause its crazy trippy, in the bast way possible) to appreciate the songs. Besides, my cd collection of about 300 is certainly nothing to sneer at. I'm sure in that mess of cd's I can find something to listen to.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. |
